SAVONA
Savona s'affaccia sulla Riviera Ligure di Ponente. La sua posizione favorevole l'ha resa nodo importante dal tempo dei Romani, come oggi, posta sulle naggiori arterie che la collegano con l'Europa, il vicino Piemonte ed il resto d'Italia.
Oggi al centro di una zona turistica molto interessante,offre ai suoi ospiti, ed a quelli dei vicini luoghi di soggiorno, manifestazioni d'ogni tipo: teatrali, musicali, culturali, strutture per lo sport e splendidi tesori artistici; nonchèottimi e caratteristici ristoranti.

Since Roman times, Savona has always been an important military and commercial crossroads, thanks to its port and its strategic position. Reasons which have given it an important role in History.
Today it is in the centre of a very interesting area for turism; it offers its own visitors and those from the nearby resorts all types of entertainment : theatrical, musical, cultural ones, centers for leisure and sport and splendid artistic treasures. The museums and the works of art, which can be found inthe Churches and Convents within the city, are witness to an artistic past and to the cultural and historic wealth of a city. Wich was the birthplace of two Popes (Sixtus IV and Julius II) and which played many roles in the History of Italy. This was brought about the presence of important Savonese citizens such as Christopher Colombus (leaving the town in jungness), the Doria family and Della Rovere family as well as other famous people who left their mark on the history of Savona such as Napoleone Bonaparte and Giuseppe Mazzini and Others.
La città, nella parte medievale (centro storico) vanta palazzi rinascimentali splendidamente decorati, mentre sotto i bellissimi portici e nelle strade diritte della parte ottocentesca (centro città), si trovano i negozi più esclusivi.
Il Priamar, custode delle radici storiche di Savona, oggi restaurato, rappresenta il fulcro della sua parte turistico - culturale. Ai suoi piedi il nascente porto turistico ed il centro storico cittadino. Dall'alto delle sue mura la splendida vista del Golfo Ligure.
The city can boast about its beautifully decorated buildings which date back to the Middle Ages, while under the arches along the aminstreet, built in the 19 century one can find the most exclusie shops.
The Priamar, nowadays restored, is the guardian of the historical roots of Savona, and represents the central point for tourists and cultural visits. At its base we can find a new developing tourist port and the city's historical centre, while from the top of its high walls one can enjoy a wonderful view of the Ligurian Gulf.

The "Riviera Suisse Hotel "*** is situated on the main street of Savona, that joins the port to the Railway Station, in the historical and commercial centre of the Town. The Hotel is in a fascinating building of the last Century, surrounded by an elegant nineteenth-century arcade Piedmontese style.
The Hotel is owned by the same family since 1938 and the features that always marked its management are the kindness and the carefulness in the services for the Guest. the Riviera Suisse Hotel has been continually renovated since 1976 till nowadays and provides 80 rooms and one suite, all with bathroom, TVcolours and mini-bar. The rooms situated on the "comfort floor" have also air-conditioning.
The restaurant of the Hotel offers its specialities from the old Ligurian and Piedmontese tradition of cookery, like already its founder "Pinot" did, an extremely professional cook and hotel - owner.
